SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAM

The Armed Forces Chamber Community Development Corporation offers SkillBridge program internships and training for transitioning service members from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. These exciting opportunities allow service members to gain valuable experience in the public sector and exposure to private sector employment opportunities. Potential candidates are encouraged to review the Armed Forces Chamber's SkillBridge program standards, internship pathways, and then submit an application utilizing the available interest form. After the form is submitted, a representative will contact the candidate via email or phone.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The Armed Forces Chamber Community Development Corporation offers a diverse array of volunteer opportunities, engaging various groups including Boy Scouts, church members, Girl Scouts, Lions Club members, missionaries, pageant contestants and queens, Rotarians, and more. Through these engagements, participants not only serve their communities but also cultivate invaluable leadership skills, foster camaraderie, and develop a profound sense of civic duty. Whether assisting in local clean-up initiatives, organizing fundraising events, or supporting veterans' welfare programs, each individual contributes to the collective betterment of society. These volunteer efforts not only strengthen community bonds but also instill a spirit of service that resonates far beyond their immediate impact.

COURT ORDERED COMMUNITY SERVICE

Are you looking for a meaningful way to fulfill your court-ordered community service obligation? Consider partnering with the Armed Forces Chamber Community Development Corporation, a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to serving veterans and their families. By joining forces with us, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in your community while honoring those who have bravely served our nation. Our organization collaborates with justice courts and municipalities across Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas, Laughlin, Mesquite, North Las Vegas, and Pahrump, offering defendants the chance to perform community service in lieu of payment for civil infractions. Not only does this provide you with a pathway to fulfill your obligation, but it also allows you to contribute to causes that matter deeply to our society.

 

Effective October 1, 2023, Community Service in lieu of Civil Infraction Fine & Fees will be calculated at an hourly rate of $15.00 (per NRS 176.087) and hours are rounded up to whole number.

 

Example of calculation:

  • Total Civil Infraction Fines & Fees: $215.00

  • Total Hours to be worked: 14 hours

 

With convenient submission options for your timesheets and a commitment to transparency and efficiency, fulfilling your community service requirement has never been easier. Join us in making a positive impact and expressing gratitude to those who have served our country with honor and dedication.

MANDATORY ADMINISTRATIVE FEE

All community service volunteers are required to pay a non-refundable one-time $50 administrative fee per case. This fee can be paid via Apple Pay, Ca$h App, Credit Card, Debit Card, Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle. Send proof of your payment to CommunityService@ArmedForcesChamber.com.
