According to the United States Census Bureau, the City of North Las Vegas, Nevada is home to more than two-hundred seventy-four (274) thousand residents which include more than sixteen (16) Veterans. The Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce endeavors to regularly provide education, information, marketing plus networking opportunities and resources to Veterans who live and operate businesses in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The City of North Las Vegas Veterans & Community Resource Center, located at 3090 East Centennial Parkway, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89081, partnered with the Armed Forces Chamber to host shindigs beginning in 2023. Shindigs include but are not limited to a New Year Kick-Off in January, State of the Chamber Address in March, Business/Employment and Veterans Expo in May, Health & Wellness Fair in August and Achievement Awards in October. Shindigs are open to the public and admission is free. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are available for purchase. The City of North Las Vegas Veterans & Community Resource Center provides services including: Resource fairs for Social services, Employment workshops for career exploration, mock interviews, job searching, Mental health focus groups for stress management, substance recovery services, Financial literacy workshops, budgeting, financial organization classes, Computer training, career training, Legal information classes and legal document preparation clinics. All services are provided to the community at no cost.
