Mesquite, NV – November 26, 2024 – The Armed Forces Chamber proudly presented a commemorative plaque to Mayor Al Litman in recognition of his remarkable public service as a Mesquite City Councilman and Mayor, as well as his unwavering support for veterans. The presentation took place during the Mesquite City Council meeting, in front of a standing-room-only audience of more than 250 attendees.
Andre’ Haynes, founder and CEO of the Armed Forces Chamber, personally delivered the plaque to Mayor Litman. The honor celebrates Mayor Litman’s dedication to the community and his continued advocacy for veterans’ issues, which have been central to his leadership throughout his career.
“Mayor Litman exemplifies the spirit of service and commitment,” said Haynes. “His leadership has positively impacted not only the citizens of Mesquite but also countless veterans who have benefited from his support. It is an honor to recognize him for his extraordinary contributions.”
Mayor Litman, a veteran himself, has consistently championed initiatives that support those who have served in the armed forces. From advocating for veterans’ housing and healthcare programs to spearheading community events honoring military service, his efforts have been instrumental in creating a welcoming environment for veterans in Mesquite.
The plaque presentation was met with a standing ovation, reflecting the widespread respect and appreciation the community holds for Mayor Litman.
