About the Event
The Filipino American History Forum is a diversity and inclusion event that fosters the building of relationships and understanding among diverse groups. The Filipino American History Forum is held annually during the month of October at the Armed Forces Chamber Command. Andre’ Haynes and Patsy Brown proudly present the Filipino American History Forum brought to you by Salvacion Vargas Edelman. Sponsors include THE HAYNES CO. and Tangerine Office Machines. Supporters include the Nye County, Nevada Lions Club, Rising Asian Pacific Americans Coalition for Diversity, and Las Vegas Twin Lakes Lions Club. Media partners include the Phillipine Times of Southern Nevada, Veterans Reporter News, and Veterans World Magazine. The Filipino American History Forum features a brief program starring a moderator, panelists, guest speakers, special guests, live performances, food trucks, and vendors. The Filipino American History Forum is open to the public and admission is $5 per person. Food and merchandise require an additional purchase. A portion of proceeds benefit the Nye County, Nevada Lions Club, Rising Asian Pacific Americans Coalition for Diversity, and Las Vegas Twin Lakes Lions Club.
