AARP Foundation’s Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
The Armed Forces Chamber Community Development Corporation proudly offers employment opportunities for veterans, disabled veterans, and 100% permanently disabled veterans through its partnership with the AARP Foundation's Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). SCSEP, funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor, contributes 90% of the support for the program, with a matching 10% from the AARP Foundation. As a Host Agency Partner of SCSEP, the Armed Forces Chamber Community Development Corporation places veterans in diverse positions, providing valuable training assignments aimed at cultivating essential skills and experience. This initiative empowers veterans to build the skills and behaviors necessary for success in the workforce while fostering long-term success through work-training in a realistic environment. The program's comprehensive approach benefits both veterans and the community, aligning with the organization's commitment to supporting those who have served our country.
